iGaming.com Becomes a Founding Member of European Gambling Gathering (EGG)
iGaming.com is a founding member of the newly formed European Gambling Gathering (EGG), where the company is represented by its CEO, Dr. Andreas Ditsche. iGaming.com was previously involved in the German Gambling Gathering (GGG), the group EGG grew out of, and now supports the new organization’s growth.
iGaming.com will contribute in particular to initiatives around responsible gambling, affiliate marketing, and data. The aim is to improve transparency, strengthen player protection, and support the reputation of the regulated gambling market.
GGG united companies and experts from across the German gambling market. EGG takes that model to the European level. It is an independent, pan-European initiative designed to bring together operators, suppliers, regulators, researchers, and other stakeholders to develop practical solutions to industry-wide challenges.
Unlike traditional trade associations, EGG positions itself as an action-oriented platform rather than a lobbying organization.
Mission
EGG is built around three principles:
- Community: connecting the commercial, regulatory, and research sides of the industry
- Evidence: promoting decisions based on research and measurable outcomes, not ideology
- Action: translating discussions into concrete initiatives that improve market integrity and responsible gambling
Focus Areas
EGG concentrates on work that can be implemented across European markets, not policy statements alone:
- Responsible gambling and player protection
- Market integrity
- Regulatory cooperation
- Knowledge exchange between academia and industry
How EGG Differs From Other Organizations
EGG aims to complement the work of existing European gambling associations and research organizations. Its focus is on collaboration between different parts of the gambling industry and on concrete projects.
Organizations such as EGBA (European Gaming and Betting Association) primarily represent licensed online gambling operators and engage with regulatory and policy issues at the European level.
EASG (European Association for the Study of Gambling) counts researchers, regulators, industry representatives, treatment professionals, and other specialists among its members, with a focus on gambling research and policy.
EGG instead emphasizes cooperation across the wider industry and measurable results.
Typical Participants
The intended audience includes:
- Gambling operators
- Suppliers
- Affiliates
- Regulators
- Academics
- Responsible gambling experts
- Technology providers
- Compliance professionals
A Focus on Responsible Gambling and Player Protection
Responsible gambling is one of EGG’s core areas of focus. Combining industry experience with research and data creates opportunities to develop more effective approaches to player protection.
For iGaming.com, participation in EGG also provides an opportunity to contribute its experience in affiliate marketing, data, and regulated-market visibility. Through iGamingCare, the company already supports programs that raise awareness of safer gambling and strengthen standards across the industry.
From Collaboration to Practical Action
EGG wants to connect commercial stakeholders, regulators, researchers, and responsible gambling experts. Its goal is to move beyond discussion and develop projects that improve market integrity, transparency, and player protection.
As a founding member, iGaming.com will support the development of EGG and contribute to work that promotes a safer and more transparent regulated gambling market in Europe.
